PSALM
23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul,
He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil,
for you are with me;
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
AMEN!

Who
Is God?
The
Bible not only tells us that the world was created by God:
more important, it tells us who this God is. It reveals
God's personality, His character, and His plan for His
creation. It reveals God's deepest desire:
to relate to and fellowship with the people He
created. God took the
ultimate step toward fellowship with us through His historic
visit to this planet in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ.
We can know this God who created the universe in a very
personal way.
The
first book in the Bible, Genesis, is the story of
creation. It starts: "In the beginning God created the heavens and
the earth." There was a beginning. Everything
has a beginning. Yet before the creation there was
nothing. One thing that
has always existed...is God. In the beginning, there
was God. God is self existent and doesn't depend
on anything.
In
the beginning, the self existant triune God (God the Father,
God the Son, God the Spirit) created all time, space and
matter. He did this so that God and man could dwell together
in worship and fellowship.
God
said "Let there be light", and there was
light. God said
"Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate
water from water". And it was so. God said "Let
the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let
dry ground
appear." And it was so. God said "Let the
land produce vegetation". And it was so. God
said "Let there be lights
in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from
the night".
And it was so. God said "Let the water teem
with living creatures and let birds fly above the
earth across the expanse of the
sky". So God created these creatures of the
sea and every every winged bird according to its
kind. God said "Let the
land produce living creatures according to their
kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the grund,
and wild animals." And
it was so. Then God said "Let us make
man in our image,
in
our likeness, and let them rule over the fish
of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock,
over all
the
earth, and over all the creatures that move along
the ground." (This is where we see and know
that the Trinity was present at creation - God the Father,
God the Son, God the Spirit). So God created man
in
His own image.
Have
you noticed that when God commanded something it was
done? When God commands you to do something, do you do it?
Study on the Ten Commandments and ask yourself, "DO
I FOLLOW GOD'S COMMANDS?"
